Romanian Atmospheric 3D Observatory community was held in Poiana Brasov, on 30^th of October 2017.

The meeting was attended by the representatives of all regional institution involved in RADO community: National R&D Institute for Optoelectronics – INOE 2000, “Babes Bolyai” University of Cluj and “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iasi (UAIC). Also, the representatives of National Institute for Aerospace Research “Elie Carafoli” – INCAS, “Dunarea de Jos” University of Galati and National Institute for Earth Physics (NIEP) were attended this meeting as new members of RADO community.

During the meeting, the following topics of interest for the RADO community were discussed:

• the development of present RADO ground –based atmospheric facilities in Bucharest, Cluj and Iasi in order to become eligible ACTRIS stations;
• the extension of RADO network by setting up new atmospheric observation stations in Galati, Eforie Nord and Maneciu. These stations will be operated by RADO new members;
• the embedding of RADO community and network in ACTRIS-RO community.
