The 1st European Lidar Conference ELC2018 will l be organized in Thessaloniki, Greece, between 3-5 July 2018. ELC is a new initiative of European lidar scientists and aims to establish a new concept for a conference, giving emphasis on triggering extended and lively discussions among the participants, encourage them to ask questions and get answers from leading experts.

The important dates for ELC2018 are:

• 27 December 2017: opening of the registration and submission of 2-pages abstract
• 15 February 2018: closing of the abstract submission
• 15 March 2018: notification of abstract acceptance
• 15 April 2018: closing of the early registration
